Strategies for Success

• Pay attention in class

o Pay attention to your classmates as well as your teacher.

• Ask any questions that you may have.

o There are no dumb questions

• Volunteer as much as possible
• Turn in all of your work on time.
• Make sure that all of the work that you do is your best work.
• Double check your work

o It will only take a minute, but it could have a huge effect on your grade.

• Stay out of trouble

o You have plenty of time before school, at lunch, after school, and on the weekends to be with your friends so wait until then to talk with them.

• Study for Tests

o Even if you get lucky every once in a while, and get a good grade without studying, it will catch up with you eventually. Don't take that chance. Make sure to make the effort. It will be worth it.

• Trust in yourself

o You are a very smart person. It you do not believe that something is possible then it won't be. Work hard and trust that your preparation will pay off.

• Have fun in school

o School can be a lot of fun if you allow it to be. Work hard and have a great time. You are lucky to be at such a great school.
