1.  CALL TO ORDER  - President Norvill called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Others present:  Channel 22 Representatives; and Dr. Marx, Superintendent

7.  SUPERINTENDENT/PRINCIPAL  REPORT 

 

  1.   The breakdown per class is as follows:     =       K  =3D  16           &nbs= p;            5th =3D 28

   2nd =3D 11      &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;    7th =3D 20

  1.   On Monday, we will focus on instruction of positive behavior for our kick-off of PBIS on Thursday, Aug. 19th.   Tuesday’s agenda pertains to faculty/staff discussion and organization for the upcoming year.
  2. renewal = rates beginning on October 1st.  CIE is currently with United Health

    Care of = River Valley.  Personal Care (Methodist/Proctor) = and Humana

    (OSF/Pro= ctor) also offer similar health programs and have submitted bids.  As

    compared= to current cost, the rates for next year with the above providers will

    increase= from 1.2% to 5.0% with a one year guarantee.

    D.  Upcoming events:

    ·        Meet the Teacher Night on August 31st from 7:00 -7:45 p.m. 

    ·        Midterm Reports on Sept. 16th for= 1st 9 weeks grading period 

    ·        Open House on Sept. 30th from 6:30 -7:30 p.m.

    1. First reading of the FY11 Budget w= ith 30 day review period

    A.     Approv= ed a Budget Hearing on September 23, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.

     

    B.     Approv= ed to employ Ms. Lisa Carroll as Cheerleading Sponsor for the 2010-2011 school year. 

     

    11. OTHER BUSINESS 

     

    A.     Approv= ed to employ Mrs. Carol Daggs as a Special Education Aide from 8:00 – =

          11:15 a.m. daily for the 2010-2011 school year. 

     

           Entered into executive session at 6:21 p.m. 

     

    12.  EXECUTIVE SESSION  -=   Evaluation of Superintendent

     

    13.  ACTIONS AS A RESULT OF EXECUTIVE S= ESSION

     

    A.  Approved the evalu= ation of Dr. Kathryn Marx for 2009-2010 school year.
