presentation by Mrs. Giunta regarding purpose, activities, and implementation for the 2008-2009 school year.

7. SUPERINTENDENT/PRINCIPAL REPORT

Progress has begun on our life-safety project with removal of former heating units, pouring

of concrete pads to set HVA= C units, and completed duct work for each classroom. Scrap

metal from the old heating = units was taken to Behr Peoria. Upo= n a recent trip to the ISU

Warehouse, file cabinets, t= ables, bookcases, projection screens, and chairs were purchased.

Reservations are being made= for the IASB Joint Annual Conference on November 21-23,

2008.

9. OLD BUSINESS AND INFORMATIONAL

A.&= nbsp; Letter of apprecia= tion from IESA for hosting the 2008 State Track Meet

B. The regular board meeting for the = month of November is scheduled for Monday

&= nbsp; November 24^th. Since the IA= SB Convention is Nov. 21-23, we may wish to move

&= nbsp; the meeting to Monday November 17^th. This would need to be an action it= em next

&= nbsp; month.

10. NEW BUSINESS

A. Approv= e to accept the 2008 Prevailing Wage Ordinance Resolution.

A. Approve to employ = Ms. Michele Straiker as 60% part-time certified teacher to assist with RtI and 40% part-time salaried aide ($13.00 per hour) during the 2008-2009 school year.=
