1. CALL TO ORDER Vice-President Schwader called= the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m= .

5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES=

Motion by Newlan, seconded = by Pool to approve the F= ebruary 21, 2008 minutes of the regular meeting. Motion carried.

Motion by Vangunten, second= ed by Newlan to approve the executive session minutes of the February 21, 2008 regular meeting. Motion carried.

7. ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL REPORT - none

8. SUPERINTENDENT/PRINCIPAL REPORT

&= nbsp; Harcourt HSP Math for Illinois (2009) was chosen as the new textbook series for grades

K-5. With IL. Textbook Loan money, we w= ere able to purchase 84 student hardcover

textbooks. Other textbooks, consumables, and supplies are also being ordered for next

year. Lastly, modifications were made wi= th regard to current life safety work. The junior

high hallway will be heated= with an electric baseboard strip. For better ventilation, the

kitchen will be retrofitted= with two exhaust fans.

Mrs. Potts arrived at 6:27 p.m.

10. OLD BUSINESS AND INFORMATIONAL

A. We need to set a date and time for= a Sports Committee meeting during April.

B. Letter to parent/guardians and grandparents regarding assistance at the IESA State

&= nbsp; Track Meet on May 9^th and 10^th.

11. NEW BUSINESS

A. Approv= e the school calendar for 2008-2009.

Motion by Potts, seconded b= y Vangunten to approve the school calendar for 2008-2009. Motion carried.

B. Approv= e to hold graduation on Thursday May 22^nd at 7:00 p.m.

Motion by Newlan, seconded = by Potts to approve to hold graduation on Thursday May

C. Approv= e for Report Card Day, last day of school, to be on Tuesday May 27^th.<= o:p>

D. Approv= e to destroy audio/video tapes of executive session minutes from June 2006 and earlier.

E. Approv= e to transfer $10,000.00 from Working Cash Fund to the IMRF Fund as shown on the January = 2008 Treasurer’s Report.

F. Approv= e to increase building rental rates to $20.00 per hour for Robein District resid= ents and $40.00 for non-residents, based upon the adult in charge of the event or activity.

13. EXECUTIVE SESSION

14. ACTION ITEMS AS A RESULT OF EXECUT= IVE SESSION

A. Approve to employ = Kari Wertz as Head Teacher for the 2008-2009 school year with a stipend of $3,00= 0.00.

Motion by Potts, seconded by Vangunten to approve to employ Kari Wertz as Head Teacher for the 2008-2009 school year with a stipend of $3,000.00.&n= bsp; On roll call, the following votes were recorded:

NAYS: None

B. Approve to re-adve= rtise the Athletic Director position for certified and non-certified personnel.
