8.  SUPERINTENDENT/PRINCIPAL  REPORT 

Larry Vaughn, asbestos spec= ialist from Mactec, was requested to provide a detailed

proposal for asbestos remov= al in the junior high wing.  The Holiday/Winter Concert will

be held on Thursday Decembe= r 20th at 7:00 p.m.  Holiday parties will take place in the

afternoon of Friday Decembe= r 21st.  School will dismiss at 2:10 p.m. on that date.

10.  OLD BUSINESS AND INFORMATIONAL

 

      A.  Letter of intent to host Class A <= st1:place w:st=3D"on">IESA State Track & Field events for 2009-2013

      B.  Bid to clean and apply a fire reta= rdant to the stage curtains, per State Health-Life

        =       Safety requirements.

      C.  School Wurlitzer piano of 1960 era= is no longer needed

      D.  Entitlement from IL. Textbook Loan Program for students in grades K-6

      E.  Letter of appreciation for donatio= n of 18 personal computers

 

11.  NEW BUSINESS

 

A.&n= bsp;    Approv= e the Board of Education regular meeting dates for 2008.

 

Motion by Pool, seconded by= Potts to approve the  Board of Educa= tion regular meeting dates for 2008.  Motion carried.

 

B.&n= bsp;    Approv= e to employ Mr. Ryan Snell as a part-time teacher aide in the first grade classr= oom for 3.5 hours per day with a salary of $13.00 per hour.

 

Motion by Pool, seconded by= Potts to approve to employ Mr. Ryan Snell as a part-time teacher aide in the first grade classroom for 3.5 hours per day with a salary of $13.00 per hour.  On roll call, the following votes = were recorded:.

 

YEAS:            = Pool, Potts, Schwader, Taylor, Vangunten, Newlan, and Norvill.
