1. CALL TO ORDER President Norvill called the m= eeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Others present: Channel 22 Representative; Dr. Marx, Superintendent; Mr= s. Wertz,

teacher; Kelsey Carter, = Julie Bainbridge, Ashley Combs, Michele Combs, David Combs, Ryan Combs, Cydney Norvill, and Landon Norvill

4. CITIZENS REQUEST/PUBLIC PARTICIPATION =

&= nbsp; Mrs. Wertz’s speech students presented s= kits from the speech contest to the audience.&n= bsp;

5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES=

A.&n= bsp; Approve minutes of the = October 18, 2007 regular meeting.

Motion by Vangunten, second= ed by Newlan to approve the = October 18, 2007 minutes of the regular meeting. Motion carried.

B. Approve executive session minutes of the October 18, 2007 regular meeting.

Motion by Potts, seconded b= y Schwader to approve the executive session minutes of the October 18, 2007 regular meeting. Motion carried.

7. ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL REPORT - none

8. SUPERINTENDENT/PRINCIPAL REPORT

A walk through of the junio= r high wing to investigate asbestos abatement with the HVAC

project will occur on Thurs= day November 29^th. Boa= rd members are welcome. A Respon= se

to Intervention (RtI) Team = has been formed for the purpose of assisting struggling students

within the classroom. Team members hope to lay groundwor= k this year with

implementation next year. Lastly, midterm reports will be se= nt home with students on

Tuesday November 27^th<=
/sup>.

9. COMMITTEE REPORTS

Mr. Newlan stated that a HV= AC unit was recently replaced in the lower elementary wing.

Due to the age of the forme= r unit, it was more economical for replacement than repair.

C. IESA Track and Field Hosting Bid Announcement

D. Fund raiser for the 8^th= grade field trip

E. Eastside Volleyball Club does not = plan on using Robein School for

A.&n= bsp; Approv= e a Tax Levy Hearing on December 17, 2007 at 5:4= 5 p.m.

Motion by Newlan, seconded = by Schwader to approve a Tax Levy Hearing on December 17, 2007 at 5:45 p.m. Motion carried.

B.&n= bsp; Approv= e the Faculty/Staff Handbook for 2007-2008.

Motion by Schwader, seconde= d by Newlan to approve the Faculty/Staff Handbook for 2007-2008. Motion carried.

12. OTHER BUSINESS - none

Motion by Sch= wader, seconded by Potts to enter into executive session at 7:43 p.m.

14. ACTION ITEMS AS A RESULT OF EXECUT= IVE SESSION

&= nbsp; A. Approve for the school secretary t= o be contracted for annual summer work to

include one (1) week in the first week of June and three (3) weeks = prior to the

beginning of the next school year.= Furthermore, the current secretary shall be

grandfathered five (5) non-accumulative vacation days per year.

&= nbsp; Motion by Newlan, seconded by Taylor<= /st1:place> to approve for the school secretary to be

&nbs= p; contracted for annual summer work to include one (1) week in the first week of June an= d

&nbs= p; three (3) weeks prior to the beginning of the next school year. Furthermore, the current

&nbs= p; secretary shall be grandfathered five (5) non-accumulative vacation days per year. On roll

B. Approve to allow t= he evening shift custodian to have five (5) vacations days during the first ye= ar of employment.

Motion by Newlan, seconded = by Schwader to approve to allow the evening shift custodian

to have five (5) vacation d= ays during the first year of employment. On roll call, the

following votes were record= ed:

YEAS: = Schwader, Taylor, Vangunten, Newlan, Potts, and Norvill.

NAYS: None

ABSENT: Pool

C. Approve for the cu= rrent head cook to be grandfathered five (5) non-accumulative vacation days begin= ning with the 2007-2008 school year.

Motion by Potts, seconded by Vangunten to approve for the current head cook to be

grandfathered five (5) non-accumulative vacation days beginning with the 2007-2008

school year. On roll call, the following votes = were recorded:

YEAS: = Taylor, Vangunten, Newlan, Potts, Schwader, and Norvill.

NAYS: None

ABSENT: Pool
