BOARD OF EDUCATION SPECIAL MEETING

= September 5, 2006 at 6:00 P.M.

MINUTES

 

 

1.  CALL TO ORDER  President Norvill called the m= eeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

 

2.  PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

 

3.  ROLL CALL

 

Members present: &= nbsp; Mr. Norvill, Ms. Cunefare, Mr. Newlan, Mrs. Pool, Mrs. Potts, and Ms. Schwader.

 

Members absent:  <= /span>Mr. Dearing

 

Others present:  Dr. Marx, Superintendent; and Mr. Jay Greening, Atty.

 

4.  INFORMATIONAL  -=   Vacancy on the School Board

 

Mr. Norvill stated that a b= oard member resigned effective August 31, 2006. 

Discussion pertained to boa= rd rules, procedure, and appointment.

 

Ms. Cunefare exited the meeting, due to another time c= ommitment.

 

5.  NEW BUSINESS

 

Approve the resignation of Chris Dearing as school board member with regrets.

 

Motion by Norvill, seconded= by Pool to approve the resignation of Chris Dearing as a school board member with regrets.  On roll call, the following votes were recorded:

 

YEAS:            = Newlan, Pool, Potts, Schwader, and Norvill

 

NAYS: None

 

ABSENT:        Cunefare and Dearing

 

6.  ADJOURN: 

 

Motion by Newlan, seconded by Pool to adjourn at 7:23 p.m.  Motion carried.
