February 15, 2007 at 6:00 P.M.

MINUTES

 

 

1.  CALL TO ORDER  President Norvill called the m= eeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Others present:  Channel 22 Representatives and Dr. Marx, Superintendent

5.  APPROVAL OF MINUTES=

 

A.&n= bsp;    Approve minutes of the J= anuary 10, 2007 special meeting

 

Motion by Newlan, seconded = by Schwader to approve the J= anuary 10, 2007 special meeting minutes as presented.  Motion carried.

 

B.&n= bsp;    Approve minutes of the J= anuary 18, 2007 regular meeting.

 

Motion by Potts, seconded b= y Newlan to approve the J= anuary 18, 2007 minutes of the regular meeting as presented.  Motion carried.

 

C.&n= bsp;    Approv= e executive session minutes of the January 18, 2007 regular meeting

 

Motion by Newlan, seconded = by Schwader to approve the J= anuary 18, 2007 executive session  minutes as presented.  Motion carried.

Motion by Potts, seconded b= y Pool to approve the Financial Reports as presented.  On roll call, the following votes = were recorded:

NAYS: None

 

ABSENT:  &n= bsp;     Cunefare

 

 

7.  ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL REPORT

Assistant Principal, Mr. Va= ndemore, presented the following written report:

·        Volleyball season is nearly complete.  Robein will host the Region 5 IESA= 8th Grade Regional on March 6, 7, and 8.

·        Graduation date of Thursday May 17th will have to be moved, due to snow days used this year.

·        Warning letters will be sent to parents/guardians of any students in grades 5-8 in danger of retention.

·        ISAT testing will be the week of March 12, 2007.=

 

 

8.  SUPERINTENDENT/PRINCIPAL  REPORT

Superintendent Marx discuss= ed the following:

·        Issues of major consideration for timeliness=

·        ISAT preparation for the March 2007 testing<= /p>

·        Only 3 candidates for the Board of Education election in April 2007

A.&n= bsp;    Approv= e seniority list for certified personnel.

 

Motion by Schwader, seconde= d by Potts to approve the seniority list as presented.  Motion carried.

 

B.&n= bsp;    Approv= e a 5-year contract agreement with Robein Federation of Teachers for fiscal yea= rs 2007-2011.

 

Motion by Newlan, seconded = by Vangunten to approve the 5-year contract agreement with Robein Federation of Teachers= for fiscal years 2007-2011.  On ro= ll call, the following votes were recorded:&n= bsp;

 

YEAS:            = Pool, Potts, Schwader, Vangunten, Newlan, and Norvill

 

NAYS: None

 

ABSENT:        Cunefare

 

 

C.&n= bsp;    Approv= e the Faculty Handbook for the 2006-2007 school year. 

 

Motion by Potts, seconded b= y Pool to approve the Faculty Handbook for the 2006-2007 school year.  Motion carried.

 

D.&n= bsp;   Approv= e the School Improvement Plan for the 2006-2007 school year. 

 

Motion by Newlan, seconded = by Vangunten to approve the School Improvement Plan for the 2006-2007 school year.  Motion carried. 

 

 

12.  OTHER BUSINESS  -=   none

 

 

Motion by Sch= wader, seconded by Pool to approve to enter into executive session at 7:41 p.m.  Motion carried.
