of Education Meeting
September 30, 2004
President Norvill called the meeting to order at 6:05 PM.
Members present: Mr. Norvill, Mr. Buttice, Ms. Schwader, Mr. Dearing, Mr. Visocky, Ms. Cunefare,
Superintendent Mueller
Members absent: Mr. Popken
Guests: none
Old Business:
Public Hearing concerning the FY 2005 Budget:
President Norvill discussed with the board the examination of the
budget. Superintendent Mueller reported
that there were only a few changes made to the budget. It was approximately $3,000.00 less than the
original budget due to contract cleaning.
After discussion, President Norvill asked the board if there were any
other questions, comments or concerns.
President Norvill opened any questions, comments or concerns to the
audience and community. He asked for
any revisions. With none, President
Norvill closed the public portion of the hearing 2005 budget.
Motion by
Visocky, seconded by Dearing to approve the budget. On roll call, the following votes were recorded:
YEAS: Norvill,
Buttice, Schwader, Dearing, Visocky, and Cunefare
NAYS: None
Motion
carried.
Public Hearing concerning the intent of the district to sell School
Fire Prevention and Safety Bonds:
President
Norvill called the formal hearing to order at 6:12 p.m. Superintendent Mueller opened discussion
regarding the $120,000 Life Saftety Bonds and to start the Life Safety
Plan. After discussion, President
Norvill asked the board if there were any other questions or comments. Board member Buttice asked how it would
affect the levy. Superintendent Mueller
stated that it would not affect the levy.
At this time President Norvill opened any oral or written testimony from
the public.
Motion
by Schwader, seconded by Buttice to sell School Fire Prevention and Safety
Bonds. On roll call, the following
votes were recorded:
YEAS: Norvill,
Buttice, Schwader, Dearing, Visocky, and Cunefare
NAYS: None
Motion
carried.
Public Hearing concerning the intent of the district to sell Working
Cash Bonds:
President
Norvill called the formal hearing to order at 6:18 p.m. Superintendent Mueller opened discussion
regarding the Working Cash Bonds. After
discussion, President Norvill asked the board if there were any other questions
or comments. At this time President
Norvill opened any oral or written testimony from the public.
Motion
by Visocky, seconded by Dearing to sell Working Cash Bonds. On roll call, the following votes were
recorded:
YEAS: Norvill,
Buttice, Schwader, Dearing, Visocky, and Cunefare
NAYS: None
Motion
carried.
Public Hearing concerning the paving work to be funded by Life Safety:
President
Norvill called the formal hearing to order at 6:21 p.m. Superintendent Mueller opened discussion
regarding the paving work. He reported
that the sidewalks, parking lots, playgrounds, and/or bus turn around needs
cracks re-sealed and re-painted. The
district will open this work for bids.
After discussion, President Norvill asked the board if there were any
other questions, comments, or concerns.
At this time President Norvill opened any oral or written testimony from
the public.

by Cunefare, seconded by Schwader to conduct the paving work. On roll call, the following votes were
recorded:
YEAS: Norvill,
Buttice, Schwader, Dearing, Visocky, and Cunefare
NAYS: None
Motion
carried.

President
Norvill asked for any new business.

Motion by Dearing, seconded by Cunefare to adjourn the meeting at 6:26 p.m. On roll call, the following votes were recorded:
