Shamrock Sales Make sure to purchase some candy filled shamrocks for you and your friends during the week of March 1-5. All shamrocks costs 75 cents and will be sold after school every day. Text Box: Kindergarten Registration Kindergarten registration for the 2010/2011 school year will take place the week of March 15-19 from 7:30-3:00 p.m. Children who will be 5 years old on or before September 1st are eligible for kindergarten. The child’s certificate of live birth (court house copy) is required for registration. An appointment time for screenings (scheduled in April) will be set up during registration hours. Physical, dental, and vision forms are due by the first day of school. Family Fun Night Family Fun Night will be held on Friday, March 12 from 6:00 - 8:00 in the gym. Bring your friends and family to enjoy an evening full of popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs, drinks and unlimited inflatables and games! Text Box: Spaghetti & Torpedo Dinner The annual Spaghetti Dinner will be held on Monday, March 22nd from 4:30-7:00 pm. Dinners will include a serving of spaghetti, bread, salad, and drink. Carryout will also be available. Proceeds will help fund the 7th and 8th grade dinner dance on April 24. Each grade will be making various theme baskets to auction off during the supper. Text Box: Father/Son (Daughter) Basketball Game Robein’s basketball team members and their fathers are invited to participate in the Father/Son (Daughter) basketball game to be held immediately following the Spaghetti Dinner on Monday, March 22nd. Young Authors Our “Night for Writers” will be Thursday, March 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the gym. All final entries will be available for viewing, an award-winning author will speak, and awards and refreshments will be provided. An informational meeting for students was held after school on Wed., Feb. 24, 2010 to talk about the upcoming season, rules, and practice and open gym schedules. Those that did not attend the meeting are still welcome and encouraged to join the team at this time, but need to see Mr. Suchocki immediately to express their interest. Open gyms are highly encouraged to help get in shape for the upcoming season. Mandatory practices will begin after the conclusion of the volleyball season for those that are on those teams. Students must be eligible 2 out of the 3 weeks previous to the beginning of the season to be able to be on the team. Other than that, you just have to have a positive attitude and enjoy running. We look to have another successful season and continue the strong tradition that track has enjoyed over the years at Robein. Hope to see you out there!
