Text Box: Spelling Bee The Robein School Spelling Bee will be held in the auditorium on Tuesday, January 31st at 1:00 p.m. The following students will participate: 4th: Abbe Eggemeyer, Aidan Cramer, Jenna Crebo, Lizzi Leverton, Makenna Weber 5th: Jacob Almasy, Abby Stella, Zane Piquard, Liv Taylor, Daniel Vangunten 6th: Cole Morton, Kammi Osborn, Tyler Hitesman, Jacob Sells, Taylor Hitesman 7th: Will Gibson, Elliott Norvill, Griffin Hall, Abbey Sells, Samantha Hamilton 8th: Lucas Campbell, Bobby Wheeler, Skyllar Meinders, Lauren Tranchitella, Katie Pennington The first and second place winners will participate in the TazWood Spelling Bee on Friday, February 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Washington Middle School. The third place will go to support their classmates. Text Box: 8th Grade Information MAP testing at the high school will be on February 9th from 8:00 am –noon. February 23rd is Freshman Orientation at 6:30 pm at the high school where students will get their placement into classes. Text Box: Track We are looking forward to another great year of track this year. Last year, the boys’ team finished 8th in the state and we had our first boys’ track state champion in school history. The girls’ team also had a strong year and finished 17th in the state with an athlete finishing both second and fourth in the state in her individual events. The most satisfying accomplishment, though, was that everyone on the team worked hard and showed improvement throughout the year. There was a track informational meeting held on Thursday, January 19, 2012 during lunch for those interested in joining this year’s track team. Please see Mr. Suchocki for more information. There are no cuts for the track team. If you like running and are willing to work hard and follow the rules, we would love to have you. You don’t need to know anything about track, we love to teach! Open gyms will be starting in February, now would be a great time to start running on your own though. Remember, you must be eligible two out of three weeks before track begins to be able to try out for the team, so NOW is the time to start worrying about your grades. We hope to have a large and successful team and would love to see you on this year’s team!
